Shinchoku Volleyball Club

Lia Mosher grew up in Ruidoso, NM and graduated from Ruidoso High School. Lia started playing volleyball at New Mexico State University in 2017 and is currently playing at NMSU as a middle hitter.  She served as assistant coach for the Diamondback Volleyball Club in Las Cruces in 2018, 2019 and 2020.  In high school Lia won the state championship title in both volleyball and track and was awarded honors at the state volleyball championship in 2014.  She was also selected to play in the All-Star games in high school for volleyball, softball and basketball. Lia is currently studying secondary education and psychology at NMSU.  Other honors include:

• 2017- All-WAC Freshman Team
• 2019- WAC tournament champions & NCAA appearance
• 2021 (spring)- WAC regular season champions, First Team All-WAC, WAC All-Tournament Team, AVCA All-Region

Lia says she is excited to be a part of Coach Rubi’s Shinchoku Volleyball club and pass along her experience and love for the game to younger generations. “A great coach is someone who can teach fundamentals and skills to a player of any caliber. Aside from skills, a great coach can teach beyond the sport and be a role model for their players. Lastly, a great coach understands the importance of having fun,” says Mosher.
